North Decatur varsity softball manages just 2 hits in 10-0 loss to Rushville

North Decatur varsity softball never got out of the starting gate in their 10-0 6-inning loss to Rushville on Wednesday.

Rushville offense was rolling from the get-go, putting up two runs via a Belle Gossett a double. From the third through the 6th inning, The Lions would score 8 more runs, ending the game via the 10-run mercy rule.

Rushville ended up with 13 hits on the day. Ericka Kuhn, Molly Zachery, Briley Munchel, and Belle Gossett all collected multiple hits for the Lions.

Kennedy Stier and Kacie Ogden had one hit each for the Chargers.

Stacey Roberts earned the victory in the circle for Rushville. Roberts went six innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

Sarah Swain took the loss for North Decatur Chargers. The lefty surrendered six runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out three and walking one.
