The Lady Chargers are the 7th Track and Field team in school history to win the MHC and the first team since 2019.
Senior Ella Kunz left it all in the field returning as the MHC Champion of both Shot and Discus. She threw 31’9” in shot and 88’11.50” in discus.
Junior Madi Allen was also a two event MHC Champion in both High Jump and the 300 meter Low Hurdles. She jump 4’10 in high jump and had a time of 50.86 in the low hurdles. Allen came in 2nd in Long Jump with a 3.75 inch PR jump of 15’5.75”.
Freshman Sarah Moeller became MHC Champion in the 100 meter High Hurdles with a time of 17.56. Moeller also placed 2nd in High Jump with a jump of 4’8” and 4th in the 300 meter Low Hurdles with a time of 54.69.
Sophomore Ava Lecher placed 2nd in the 400 meter dash with a PR time of 1:10.84. Lecher also placed 7th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 21.44.
Junior Ava Luckoski placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.65, 3rd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.66, and 3rd in long jump with a jump of 14’3.75”.
Freshman Ellie Johnson placed 4th in the 800 meter dash with a time of 3:04.71 and 5th in the 1600 meter dash with a time of 5:50.78.
Freshman Mallory Dehaven placed 4th in the 3200 meter run with a 21 second PR time of 15:28.20.
Freshman Emmerson Gunn placed 5th in the 3200 meter run with a 40 second PR time of 15:30.77.
Freshman Mery Stier placed 5th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:15.16.
Junior Anna Mauer placed 7th in Discus with a throw of 65’10.
Freshman Layla Fellows placed 8th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.83.
The Lady Chargers Relay teams did just as well. The 4×1 consisting of Madi Allen, Mary Stier, Sarah Moeller, and Ava Luckoski placed 2nd with a time of 54.57. The 4×4 team consisting of Sara Litmer, Mary Stier, Ava Lecher, and Ellie Johnson placed 3rd with a time of 5:08.20 a new PR. Last but not least the 4×8 team placed 3rd with a time of 13:16.81.
The Lady Chargers will be Traveling to East Central for Sectionals on Tuesday, May 14th.
