The North Decatur Chargers middle school football team travelled to Madison to take on the Cubs last Tuesday, ending in a tie 6-6. After a back and forth battle in the 1st quarter, the visiting Cubs were the first to strike 1 minute into the 2nd quarter. Noah Wade stalwarted the 2 pt try with a tough individual tackle. Immediately after, the Chargers answered with a 70 kick off return for a touchdown by Hunter Nobbe! The stalemate ensued throughout the remainder of the game with both defenses standing strong. Defensive leaders for the Chargers were Noah Wade, Carson Downey, Colt Morris, Knox Templeton, Weston Mauer and Victor Combs. The JH Chargers travel to Indian Creek on Saturday, 9/14.
