Batesville- The JV Lady Chargers dropped a hard-fought game on the road to Batesville 34-23 to fall to 1-4 on the season.
Ally Whitaker led the Lasy Chargers with 10 points on the night. Sister Jo Whitaker knocked in 6 points of her own.
Brook Mauer splashed a three behind the arch and Emma Schoettmer swished a 15-foot jumper for two points on the night.
A highlight of the evening came from our Spaniard, Blanca Akba, as she scored for the first time in her basketball career.
The game was close after three periods 25-20 but the Batesville bench proved to be the difference down the stretch scoring 7 points in the 4th.
The JV Chargers will not be playing next Saturday at South Decatur, as the Cougars are without a JV squad.
