North Decatur Football miscues lead to loss at Shenandoah

North Decatur’s football Chargers traveled to Shenandoah Friday.  Despite struggling with penalites and turnovers, ND held an 8-7 lead at halftime.  However, the Raiders scored 13 unanswered points in the second half to win 20-7.

North Decatur’s Chris Stephen said, “Penalty flags were flying from the first series and an uncharacteristic lack of focus led to several turnovers: one on special team, four fumbles and an interception.”

Shenandoah didn’t have a passing game but, defensively, the Chargers were unable to stop the Raiders running game. A score midway through the fourth quarter put the Raiders up 14-8.  Then with the Chargers driving at midfield, a sack fumble led to the final Raiders touchdown with less than two minutes to play.

Quarter scoring:

ND  0  8  0  0
SH  0  7  0  13
