North Decatur baseball ends season with loss to Greenwood Christian Academy at Regional

North Decatur baseball’s IHSAA State Tournament run came to an end on Saturday, falling to Greenwood Christian Academy (GCA) 10-0 in the 1A Regional Championship at Morristown.

The game was tightly contested up until the final two innings. Heading into the bottom of the 6th inning, GCA led just 2-0.  However, the Cougars went on on to score 3 in the 6th and 5 in the 7th to end the Chargers season.

North Decatur managed to get just three hits in the game. Trey Harney and Jake Potter struck out 16 batters in the win for Greenwood Christian Academy.

Brayden Hancock was handed the loss for the Chargers, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits.

North Decatur finishes their season with a 10-16 overall record.
