Norma J. King, 90, of Dabney passed away at 3:10am, Monday, August 8, 2022 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. She was born near Hazard in Perry County, Kentucky on November 25, 1931 the daughter of Beckham and Gladys Walker Sizemore. She was married to Estill King on her 22nd birthday, November 25, 1953 and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2013. Survivors include three sons Jerry (Hope) King of Flint, Texas, and Steve (Bambi) King and Phil (Kelly) King both of Dabney; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister Beulah Sargent of Somerville, Ohio; three brothers Astor (Ann) Sizemore of Hazard, Buddy Sizemore of Somerville, and Sam (Tess) Sizemore of Carlisle, Ohio; sister-in-law Louise Conway of Lebanon, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son Daniel, her daughter Vicki, and her brothers Paul (Jib), Gary, and Henry Sizemore. Mr. & Mrs. King moved to the Dabney area in 1969 where Mrs. King was a homemaker and a former employee of ITT Thompson’s in North Vernon. Norma enjoyed gardening and was a conosuire cook of the “old Kentucky dishes”. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Mike Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in the Dabney Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Dabney Baptist Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
