(Ripley County, IN) – No one was injured when South Ripley School Bus #16 and a passenger vehicle collided Thursday morning at the intersection of County Road 200 South and U.S. 421.

Superintendent Rob Moorhead told WRBI News the bus driver was on his way to his first pick-up location, and that there were no students on the bus, other than the driver’s school-age child.

Moorhead says the crash remains under investigation, and the school corporation is following all state-required school bus accident protocols.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Versailles Fire Rescue, and Ripley County EMS were the responding agencies.
