New Indiana laws that take effect today

Statewide—293 new laws in effect starting today for the state of Indiana.

High school students will be required to take a civic’s test to graduate that is identical to the test given to those seeking U.S. citizenship

Hemp is happening in Indiana. One new law will open for Hoosier farmers to grow and produce hemp in the state.

People convicted of animal abuse cannot own, keep or train a dog or cat for the duration of their probation or parole.
They could face felony charges if they hurt or maim an animal.

 

Revenge porn will be outlawed. That’s when your former significant other or other people share your intimate photos with people who were never meant to see them.

Starting January 2020 you will be able to play live table games at the casinos in Anderson and Shelbyville.
