BATESVILLE, IN — The Batesville Community Education Foundation is sponsoring the Art on Main mural project in downtown Batesville again this year.

This program features artwork from students from the four Batesville Community School Corporation buildings on a rotating basis.

The latest entry installed on the side of the Simons Company building at the corner of Main and George streets is from Batesville Intermediate School (BIS) fifth-grader Alexis Schiller.

Alexis colored the globe with colored pencils and painted the background with watercolors.

BCEF wants to thank BIS art teacher Olivia Branch for her help with this program.

In addition, Jimmy Rowland from Rowland Graphics donated his time to install the mural, and building owner Nick Maple donated the use of his location for the display.

Jama Linkel-Cleghorn from the BCEF board of directors is the coordinator of this program.
