Neil Joseph Lambert, age 89, of Brookville, died late Saturday July 18, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born September 21, 1936 in Brookville, Indiana he was one of two children born to the late Joseph C. & Mildred (Templeton) Lambert. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserves. On June 7, 1958 he and the former Joyce Rosenberger were united in marriage and she survives.
Neil was retired, having worked for many years in construction. He had also served on the Board of the Franklin County Water Association for over 35 years.
He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville.
Besides Joyce, his loving wife of over 58 years, survivors include three sons, Terry (Marcia) Lambert of Brookville, Indiana, Jeff (Julie) Lambert of Laurel, Indiana and Jerry (Megan) Lambert of Everton, Indiana; a sister Phyllis Jewell of Brookville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Crystal (Rob) Kruthaupt, Aaron (Erin) Lambert, Adam Lambert, Cole (Molly) Lambert, Emma (Chase) Gibbs, Lilly Beck; 5 great-grandchildren, Braylon Kruthaupt, Baylee Lambert, Brodie Kruthaupt, Logan Lambert, Violet Gibbs, with Judith on the way soon!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jordan Lambert, and Landon Lambert.
Family & friends may visit from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.
Rev. Robert Browning will conduct the Funeral Services on Friday, July 24, 2026, 11:00 A.M; at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial with military graveside honors by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
