STATEWIDE — The Indiana Department of Health (IDH) on Wednesday confirmed 7,967 new cases of COVID-19 along with 58 newly reported deaths across the state.
One of those deaths was in Ripley County.
Locally, Dearborn County reported 78 new cases; Ripley County had 34; Franklin County reported 25 positives and Decatur County had 16.
IDH said 1,234,919 people have been infected with COVID-19 while the lives of 18,338 Indiana residents have been claimed by the virus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
