NEW MARION, Ind. – Some members of the Indiana Air National Guard spent Tuesday detonating ordnance at the Jefferson Range. The blasts occurred throughout the day.
Jefferson Range Scheduler Joahnna Siebenthal said, “We are required to clean up any ordnance that may be potentially hazardous out here. We are disposing of that.”
“So, if it appears as if the ordnance has some kind of active charge left in it we have an EOD team that will dispose of that. They just blow it up right in place so it is no longer hazardous.”
