Natalie A. Harves

Natalie A. Harves, 92, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday December 9, 2019 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

She was born November 11, 1927 in Aurora, IN, daughter of the late Harry G. Osborne and Agatha (Johnson) Osborne.

Natalie was employed by Southern Indiana Telephone Company, The DeCourcy Clinic in Cincinnati, First National Bank of Aurora and The Peoples Federal Savings Bank (formerly Peoples Bldg & Loan Co., Aurora). She retired from PFSB in 1992 after serving 34 years as Treasurer, Assistant Secretary and Office Manager.

She was a member and supporter of the First Presbyterian Church of Aurora since childhood, and she served as a deacon several years ago. Natalie was a 1945 Aurora High School graduate and a founding member of the South Dearborn Dollars for Scholars. She was also a member of Phi Beta Psi, the Hillforest Foundation, the Kindervelt #44 (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Auxiliary), and the Fine Arts Foundation. Natalie and her husband of almost 65 years belonged to the Dearborn County Antique Farm Club.

She was a big Nascar fan, and loved following sports, especially High School Basketball. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her mean dish of cherry pie and BBQ pork steaks. Natalie was an animal lover, and she especially loved her German Shepherds. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and vacations, but time with her family and friends was her greatest joy.

Natalie is survived by her children, Ann (Ron) Bildner of Ponchatoula, LA, Sue (Gregg) Cutter of Aurora, IN, Ric (Tracy) Harves of Aurora, IN; grandchildren, Brandy Bildner, Leigh Ann (José) Gonzalez, Brad Cutter (fiancé, Tara Bailey), Brooke (Justin) Ricketts, Linsey (Joe) Abplanalp, Adam Harves, Nicholas Harves; great-grandchildren, Taylor Bildner, Gabriella Gonzalez and Landon Ricketts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Robert E. Harves; sister, Millicent Osborne, and infant brother, Harry G. Osborne.

Friends will be received Sunday, December 15, 2019, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church Aurora, 215 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the church, Monday December 16, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Northcutt and Pastor LaJo Dunbar officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
