Nancy (Haring) Imes, 80, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH.
She was born June 9, 1943, in Bryn Mawr, PA, daughter of the late Willard Haring and Elizabeth (Bunce) Haring.
Nancy received her bachelor’s in elementary education from Michigan State University in 1965. She served as a substitute teacher for Bridgewater-Raritan School District in New Jersey for many years. Nancy enjoyed needle crafts, especially knitting, crocheting, and quilting, as well as painting. She loved music, singing soprano in church choir at Hamline Chapel and community chorale groups including the Rivertown Players Chorus, as well as playing multiple instruments, including piano, guitar, and harp. She and Robert shared a love for sailing and traveling having visited 4 continents during her lifetime.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert Imes, daughter, Merrilee (Jed) Cox; sons, Peter (Jennifer) Imes, Christopher (Vicki) Imes; grandchildren, David (Elaine), Stephen (Shea), Grace, and Christina; great-grandchildren, Molly, Noah & Sloane; sister, Elizabeth Wood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Elizabeth Haring; brother, Jonathan Haring.
A memorial service will be held on March 9th, at 11:00 am, at Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church, Lawrenceburg, IN, with Pastor Ryan Goode officiating.
