Nancy Drening Stark, 95, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 30, with family and loved ones by her side. Born March 28, 1929, in Braddock, Pennsylvania, Nancy was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Kinsel.
Nancy married Fred Stark on July 8, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There were many lively, happy years devoted to raising five children.
Nancy also spent 25 years as an inhalation therapist at Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana, followed by 10 years as an office manager for Dr. James Moneyhun. She took great pride in her ability to serve others in these roles.
Her happiest times were spent during holiday get-togethers with Fred, and their growing family of five children, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many fur babies. Nancy was a dog lover, in particular her German Shepherds, Bandit, Wolf, and King. Nancy and Fred attended First United Methodist Church and St Matthews United Methodist Church, both in Anderson, Indiana, for more than thirty years.
Nancy is survived by five children, Susan Shields (JJ), Deborah Hollis (Bob), Rebecca Stark, Frederick Stark III (Monika), and Lawrence Stark (Dorothy); five grandchildren, Anna, Matthew, Meredith (Ryan), Frederick IV and Sarah; and five great-grandchildren, Liam, Lachlan, Lucca, Levi and Eleanor. Nancy was preceded in death by Fred, her husband of 69 years; her parents; and her six siblings, Jane, Jean, Carrie, Agnes, Raymond and Rosanna.
Nancy will be buried alongside her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.popfuneralhome.com.
