Ms. Tonya Lynn Skirvin, age 48, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on September 20, 1978 in Madison, Indiana. She was the daughter of William Carroll “Bill” Skirvin and Delores Ann (Mulder) Heitz. She was raised in Madison, Indiana where she attended the Madison Consolidated High School. Tonya was a former cook and certified nursing assistant for Fairview Place in Carrollton, Kentucky, for several years. Tonya cherished her father, daughters, and grandchildren. She enjoyed coloring, listening to music, and going on adventures with her daughter, Brittany. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her loving brother and his family. She enjoyed taking pictures with her family and having conversations and bonding with her father. She loved meeting new people, making new friends, and wanting to be the life of the party. Tonya passed away at 1:27 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Tonya is survived by her daughters, Brittany Cunningham and her fiancé, Michael Beach of Florence, IN, and Tessa Martinez and her companion, Logan Skaggs of Mt. Sterling, IN; her grandchildren, Laila Beach, Aaliyah Beach, Lily Beach, Dawson Beach, Trenton Beach, Ellynor Martinez, and Sawyer Skaggs; her father, William Carroll “Bill” Skirvin of Vevay, IN; her mother, Delores Ann (Mulder) Heitz and her husband, Steve of Madison, IN; her brother, Steve Heitz and his companion, Liz Stucker of Madison, IN; her nieces and nephews, Cheyanne Creech, Brooklynn Barron, Raelynn Heitz, and Colton Mulder; her aunts and uncles, Teresa and Mark Lawson of Hanover, IN, Jean Skirvin of Madison, IN, Cindy Skirvin of Hanover, IN, and Tommy and Tina Skirvin of Seymour, IN; and her several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.W. and Violet Marie (May) Skirvin; and her paternal uncles, Donald and John Skirvin.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22. 2026, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
