Ms. Mary L. (Lee) Hunt, age 80, of Versailles, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on May 26, 1941 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late, John William Lee, Jr. and Lucille (Littrell) Lee Robinson. She was raised in Switzerland County and the family later moved to Jefferson County, Indiana where she graduated from Madison High School. Mary was a former employee for the Reliance Electric Company in Madison, Indiana for seventeen years retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church in Versailles, Indiana. Mary enjoyed working with stained glass and her flowers. She will be remembered for her great love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary passed away on Tuesday August 3, 2021, due to injuries she sustained in an automobile accident in Versailles, Indiana.
Mary will be missed by her daughters, Susan Michele Hunt of Versailles, IN, Mary Angela Hunt of Big Sur, CA and Nancy Carol Barr and her companion, Jesse Perry of Hanover, IN; her son, Christopher Thomas Hunt and his wife, Devona of Kelseyville, CA; her grandchildren, Ryan T. Hunt and his wife, Holli of New Castle, KY, Adam J. Barr and his companion, Holly Harvey of Camp Verde, AZ, Jared A. Hewitt of Versailles, IN, Jeremy L. Barr and his wife, April of Madison, IN, Todd M. Pollard and his wife, Karen of Turners Station, KY, Marianne Nieman and her partner, Yu Chung Lee of Malden, MA and Jessica A. Barr of Madison, IN; her 18-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joy Dean Lee of Orlando, FL, Joyce A. Buchanan of Versailles, IN, Carolyn Speer and her husband, Jerry of North Vernon, IN, Barbara Ryker and her husband, Dennis of Cross Plains, IN, Nancy Juengst and her husband, Rick of North Vernon, IN, Patricia Lee of Bloomington, IN and Denise Stevens and her husband, Mark of Cambridge City, IN; her brothers, Joe Lee of Butlerville, IN, John Lee III. and his wife, Margaret of Williamsburg, VA, Michael Robinson and his companion, Evelyn Sebring of Greenville, OH, George “Butch” Robinson and his companion, Deidre Wyman of Hardinsburg, IN, Michael Lee and his wife, Evonda of Colorado Springs, CO, Paul Lee of Bloomington, IN, Edward Lee and his wife, Sigrid of Spokane, WA, Rick Lee and his wife, Lynette of Madison, IN and John Aaron Lee and his wife, Rebecca of Crestwood, KY; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Robinson of North Vernon, IN and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John William Lee, Jr. and Lucille (Littrell) Lee Robinson; her brothers, William Lee, Fred Robinson and James Lee; her nephew, Brian Speer and her great-nephew, Brandon Buchanan.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 1-7 p.m., at Mary’s Residence, 313 North Main Street, Versailles, Indiana 47042.
