Mrs. Wanda Lou (Bruce) Waller

Mrs. Wanda Lou (Bruce) Waller, age 82, of Fairview, Indiana, entered this life on April 10, 1941 in Sparta, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Harry and Lura B. (Shelley) Bruce. She was a 1959 graduate of the Vevay High School and had resided in the Switzerland County community since the age of 5. In her younger years, Wanda loved playing softball. Wanda was united in marriage to Raymond Waller on February 29, 1960 at the Markland Baptist Church in Markland, Indiana. They shared nearly 38 years together until his passing on January 26, 1998. Wanda was employed as a rural route letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Switzerland County. She owned and operated with her husband, Waller’s Dairy Farm from 1964-1999. She was also employed as a QMA for private healthcare for four years. Wanda enjoyed crocheting, working and bowling. Wanda passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at her residence.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Harry Lee Waller of Fairview, IN and Harold Ray Waller and his wife, Connie of Fairview, IN; her daughters, Brenda Lou McDermott of Rising Sun, IN and Jo Ann Smith of Dillsboro, IN; her grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Clements, Elizabeth Ann Mefford, Joseph Lee Waller, Jennifer Lee Wofindale, Anthony James Kaczmarek, Adam Michael Kaczmarek and Natalie Newman; her great-grandchildren, Jimmy Kaczmarek, Lucy Kaczmarek, Declan McAllister, Brenna Mefford, Emma Mefford, Addy Dodly and Cory Clements; her brother, Paul Bruce of Vevay, IN and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Bruce; her mother, Lura B. (Shelley) Bruce; her husband, Raymond Waller and her sister, Ruth Yvonne Starker.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison, Indiana.
