Mrs. Vickie Ann (Kelley) Jones, age 70, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on August 5, 1956 in Milan, Indiana. She was the daughter of Lawrence E. and Doris “Carolyn” (Chase) Kelley. She was raised in Springdale, Ohio and was a 1975 graduate of Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Vickie was united in marriage on September 11, 1984 to David F. Jones at the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Indiana. Vickie was employed throughout the years at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), as well as in the hotel industry and at McDonald’s in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. For the past 39 years, Vickie and David made their home in the East Enterprise community, where they built a life together filled with family, companionship, and many beloved animals. Vicky had a special place in her heart for animals, and over the years, she and David opened their home to several dogs, each of whom became a treasured part of their family. She especially adored her puppy, Baby Blue, and held a special affection for her grandpuppies, Yoda, Hoss, and Sasha, and her grandcat, Sugar. She enjoyed watching movies and going out to eat with her family. Whether it was sharing a meal, enjoying a movie together, or being surrounded by those she loved, time spent with her family was always meaningful to Vickie. Her love for her family and her animals brought her great joy throughout her life. Vickie passed away at 12:52 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her residence.
Vickie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, David F. Jones of East Enterprise, IN; her son, Jason Shearer and his companion, Amber Gascon of Hidden Valley Lake, IN; her daughter, Amanda Jones and her companion, Ben Wesley of Eubank, KY; her grandson, Bentley Ray Wesley of Eubank, KY; her father, Lawrence E. Kelley of Springdale, OH; her brothers, Rick Kelley and his wife, Denise of Westland, MI, Mark Kelley and his wife, Shari of Seven Mile, OH, and Kevin Kelley and his wife, Vicki of Cincinnati, OH; her sisters, Karen Lakes and her husband, Doug of Edon, OH, and Kristi Kelley and her companion, Dave of Mason, OH; her several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris “Carolyn” (Chase) Kelley, died April 17, 2021; her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Ivy “Pearl” (Boom) Chase; and her paternal grandparents, Paul and Nellie Kelley.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
