Mrs. Reva J. (Harris) Bragg

Mrs. Reva J. (Harris) Bragg, age 89, entered this life on July 21, 1935 in Lebanon, Indiana. She was the daughter of Glen and Melvina Pauline (Gamble) Harris and was raised in Lebanon, Indiana. Reva graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1953. Reva was united in marriage on August 5, 1962 to Howard M. Bragg in Lebanon, Indiana and they shared nearly 55 years of marriage together until Howard’s death on May 23, 2017. Reva and Howard owned and operated Bragg’s Carpet Business in Zionsville, Indiana and from 1957-1960, Lebanon, Indiana from 1960-1977. The family made Switzerland County their home where they ran the carpet business from 1977 until they retired in 1992. Reva was a member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Markland Baptist Church in Markland, Indiana. Reva passed away at 1:18 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at the IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Reva will be missed by her sons, Rusty Bragg and his wife, Jeanne of Vevay, IN, and Glen “Randy” Bragg and his wife, Sheila of Lebanon, IN; his daughter, Debra Adams and her husband, Robert of Lebanon, IN; her grandchildren, Brittany Bragg, Bethany (Devon) Armstrong, Brennan (Melissa) Bragg, Chad (Jill) Bragg, Amber (Chris) Smith, Cassie Bragg, Kyle (Laura) Biesecker, Ashley (Daniel) Christian, Rorie (Justin) Wood and Ryan (Marcia) Wood; her great-grandchildren, Kaley, Marisa, Emma, Mason, Elisabeth, Olivia, Adeline, Harper, Lily, Colin, Weston, Owynn, and Callan; her great-great-granddaughter, Blaire, and her several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Harris, died March 20, 1956; her mother, Melvina Pauline (Gamble) Harris, died March 29, 1992; her husband, Howard Marion Bragg, died May 23, 2017; her daughter, Jamie Lynn (Bragg) Jeffries, died April 9, 2020; her sisters, Helen Luvina Barker, Glenola Smith, and Doris Joan Ranney; her brother, Harold Kenneth Harris; her brothers-in-law, Theodore Alvin “Ted” Barker, Robert “Bob” Ranney and Don Smith and her niece, Cheryl (Ranney) Brannon.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, by Pastor Bobby Brundige, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
