Mrs. Patricia May “Pat” (Peters) Brandon, age 84, of Aurora, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:04 a.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023, at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Pat was born to the parents of, Dale A. and Ida Margaret (Riley) Peters on July 6, 1939 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was raised in Switzerland County where she attended Florence Elementary School. Pat graduated in 1983 from Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana. Pat was united in marriage to Gearld “Gary” Brandon on March 21, 1982 in Rising Sun, Indiana. Pat and Gary shared nearly 27 years of marriage together until his death on January 24, 2009. Pat owned and operated Main Street Cafe in Rising Sun, Indiana from 1975-1982. Pat managed, Dan Howard’s Maternity Store in Castleton, Indiana, from 1983-2001. She also worked as a waitress for various restaurants in Indianapolis, as well as, in Lawrenceburg and Rising Sun, Indiana for several years. Pat was a faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Aurora, Indiana. She was a wonderful homemaker and also enjoyed working in her yard. She loved taking care of people, her family and her church family.
Pat is survived by her sons, Michael Peelman and his wife, Sheila of Fishers, IN and David Ray “Hollywood” Peelman, of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Charlene Abercrombie and Michael Hodge; her sister, Carolyn Morgan of Vevay, IN; her sister-in-law, Crystal Peters of Vevay, IN and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale A. and Ida Margaret (Riley) Peters; her husband, Gearld “Gary” Brandon; her brothers, Raymond Lee Peters, Bobby Joe Peters, Dale Vernon Peters and Larry Gene Peters; her sisters-in-law, Rita L. Peters, Linda Peters and Carolyn “Connie Jo” Peters; her brothers-in-law, Melvin Scudder and Robert Morgan and her niece, Cheryl Lynn Cunningham.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the New Hope Baptist Church, 116 Church Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the New Hope Baptist Church, 116 Church Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
