Mrs. Nancy Ann (Andrew) Cain, age 80, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 5, 1942 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Dale and Nannie (Shaw) Andrew, whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Switzerland County and was a 1960 graduate of the Vevay High School. Nancy was united in marriage on May 27, 1966 to Chester Louis Cain at the Long Run Baptist Church. This union of nearly 57 years was blessed with two sons, Larry and Gary. Nancy was employed as a CNA for Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana, for over seven years. She was also employed in the cafeteria for the Jeff-Craig Elementary School for two years. Nancy was a member of Long Run Baptist Church. Nancy loved dogs and enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking and photography. Nancy passed away at 8:44 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her husband, Chester Louis Cain of Vevay, IN; her sons, Larry Cain of Atlanta, GA and Gary Cain and his wife, Katina of near Moorefield, IN; her grandchildren, Cameron (Tylor) Works, Douglas Ray and Carter Ray; her great-granddaughter, Evelenia; her brother, James Andrew and his wife, Linda of Vevay, IN and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Nannie (Shaw) Andrew.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2023, by Rev. Scott Elston, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
