Mrs. Mona Lee (Jackson) Wilson, age 87, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on October 27, 1937 in Vevay, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Everett and Phamie (Phillips) Jackson. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 1955 graduate of the Vevay High School. Mona was united in marriage to Marvin Wilson, Jr. on November 23, 1957 in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union of nearly 66 years was blessed with a daughter Lori. Mona was a former employee for the Vevay Newspaper and a cashier for IGA. Mona was also a former operator for United Telephone Company. Mona was a lifelong resident of Switzerland County and was a member of Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Switzerland Baptist Church. Mona enjoyed reading and cooking, as well as, playing on her phone and spending time with her family. Mona passed away at 10:35 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Mona will be missed by her grandson, Dalton Lee Scudder and his companion, Brittany Carpenter of Vevay, IN; her great-grandson, Oziah Slade “Ozzy” Scudder of Vevay, IN; her sister, Phyllis McCann and her husband, Dan of Union, KY; her son-in-law, Richard Scudder of Vevay, IN, and her several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Everett Jackson, died November 28, 1976; her mother, Phamie (Phillips) Jackson, died August 2, 1997; her husband, Marvin Wilson, Jr., died October 28, 2023; her daughter, Lori Lee Scudder, died April 20, 2007; her granddaughter, Danielle Elizabeth Wilson Scudder, died September 24, 1992, and her nephew, Brian L. Sublett, died June 4, 2023.
Inurnment will be held in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
