Mrs. Mary Christine Bernadette (Martin) Quigley, age 68, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 20, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Emma (Carrico) Martin. She was raised in Louisville, Kentucky and was a 1974 graduate of Fairdale High School. Mary was united in marriage to Shawn Patrick Quigley on December 4, 2004 in Vevay, Indiana. Mary owned and operated Primrose Antiques in LaGrange, Kentucky for 15 years. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed baking, gardening and collecting antiques. She had a profound passion for animals, dedicating her time to rescuing and helping them whenever she could. Mary passed away unexpectedly at 5:53 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
Mary will be deeply missed by her heartbroken husband, Shawn Patrick Quigley of Vevay, IN; She is also survived by her brother, Allen Martin and his wife, Patty of Louisville, KY; her sisters, Judy Smith of Louisville, KY and Linda House and her husband, Tom of Louisville, KY and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Emma (Carrico) Martin and her brother-in-law, Jim Smith.
A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at a later date.
