Mrs. Linda Nancy (Norton) Swango, age 75, was born on April 18, 1949, in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Switzerland County, Indiana, where she had resided since 1970. She was raised in New Jersey, where she attended school. Linda was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, from 1975 to 1987. On December 4, 1987, she married Steven Swango in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and together they built a loving home raising their children. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, often gathering for a game of euchre and Yahtzee. In her spare time, Linda found joy in crocheting, reading, and working on word search puzzles, as well as tending to her plants. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family and friends.
Linda will be missed by her husband, Steven Swango of Vevay, IN; her children, Clint Edward Swango and his wife, Casey of Anderson, IN, Serena Ann Swango and her husband, Tony Sahm of Rising Sun, IN, Audrey Marie Swango and her husband, Olalekan Mobolaji of Indianapolis, IN and Chandell Elise Swango and her wife, Rachel Lee Davies of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Victor Sahm, James Sahm and EmmaLee Swango and her brother, Ed Norton and his wife, Mary of Madison, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin William Norton, died in 1973 and her mother, Eleanor G. (Miller) Rowe Norton, died in 1975.
Linda’s wishes were to be cremated with no services being held at this time.
