
Mrs. Joyce Kay (Sackett) Jackson, age 76, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on December 15, 1949 in Mount Ayr, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ramona (Smith) Sackett and Michael “Archie” Sweeney. She was raised in southeastern Wisconsin, where she attended high school and later graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in Madison, Indiana. Joyce was united in marriage on August 24, 2019 to Benny Alan Jackson at their home in Deming, New Mexico. Together, Joyce and Benny shared a life filled with companionship and many treasured memories. Joyce had a caring heart and a strong work ethic throughout her life. For several years, she served as a school bus driver in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. She later worked in the cafeteria at Madison Consolidated High School in Madison, Indiana, where she enjoyed being around the students and staff before her retirement. While residing in Deming, New Mexico, Joyce was a member of the American Legion Post #4 Ladies Auxiliary and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2088. Joyce was a member of the Major Samuel Woodfill American Legion Post #9 Ladies Auxiliary, Madison Moose Lodge #765, and Madison VFW Post #1969 Ladies Auxiliary. Joyce found happiness in the simple things that made life enjoyable. She loved shopping and especially enjoyed browsing and finding new treasures on Temu. She also enjoyed working on crafts, trying her luck gambling, and collecting Boyds Bears figurines and Precious Moments collectibles. Over the years, her collections became filled with special pieces she enjoyed finding and displaying. Above all, Joyce cherished her family, and spending time with her grandchildren brought her great joy. Joyce passed away at 10:17 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jeff Moore and his wife, Jennifer of Plainfield, Illinois, and Ronald Moore and his wife, Jill of Eagle, Wisconsin; her daughter, Wendy Moore and her companion, Ron Sole of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; her step son, Joseph Jackson and his wife, Juanita of East Enterprise, Indiana; her step daughter, Heidi Siler and her husband, Joe of East Enterprise, Indiana; her grandchildren, Regan, Adrian, Richard, Bethany, Kaylee, Dakota, and Callen; her step grandchildren, Dylan, Cheyenne, Hayden, Drew, Josie, Calvin, and Kayla; her several great-grandchildren; her step-great-grandchildren, Kylie, Levi, Asher, James, Cohen, Zander, Addi, Sawyer, Kaiden, and Graysen; her brother, Jim Sackett and his wife, Linda of Mukwonago, Wisconsin; and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Alan Jackson, died May 23, 2024; her mother, Ramona (Smith) Sackett; her father, Michael “Archie” Sweeney; her brother, Larry Sackett; her sister, Janet Kane; her sister-in-law, Louise Sackett; and her brother-in-law, Bill Kane.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at a later date in Eagle, Wisconsin with burial to be held in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
