Mr. William Robert “Bill” Neubert, Jr.

Mr. William Robert “Bill” Neubert, Jr., age 85, of Vevay, Indiana, was born William Moore on July 29, 1939. After the death of his mother, he was sadly given up for adoption. However, his siblings Bob, Jim, and Carole remained with their father. Bill was adopted by a loving older couple, William and Mabel Neubert. He had a good life growing up. For many years Bill was separated from his siblings until 1987 when he was reunited with his brother Jim and his sister Carole. Unfortunately, his brother Bob had already passed away. In 1988, shortly after being reunited with his siblings, Bill met and married his Franny. Now he went from a bachelor for 48 years to having a loving wife and 3 grown stepchildren, Holly, Rusty, and Jeff. The family would grow over the years, not by blood, but by love. He and Fran would have 30 precious years together until her death in 2018. Now he is with her again. After receiving an associate degree, Bill worked at Cincinnati Milacron for 41 years until his retirement in 1998. He worked as a mechanical engineer, designing milling machines. He later became a technical writer where he wrote the technical manuals for the machines that they built. Bill, a native of Cincinnati, fell in love with the little town of Vevay, Indiana, where he purchased land and built a cabin. He loved walking through his wooded property and hunting, a city boy in the country. Bill was a member at Spring Branch Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana, where he served as a deacon for many years. He has been a great brother, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He will be missed very much by those who love him. Bill passed away at 6:20 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, Ohio.
Bill will be missed by his step-daughter, Holly Marcum and her husband, David Marcum Jr. of Cincinnati, OH; his step-son, Jeffery Hartzell and his wife, Suzanne Hartzell of Rogersville, AL; his grandchildren, Jacob Kendrick, Jessica Marcum (Jon Senile), Nathan Marcum (Aimee Barton), Christopher Hartzell (Brenda Hartzell) and Matthew Hartzell; his great-grandchildren, Dylan Marcum, Aislynn Marcum and Jameson Senile; his sister, Carole (Moore) Carter and her husband, Neil Carter of Waynesville, OH and his nieces, Lillian Chappell (Richard Chappell) and Donna Proffitt (John Proffitt).
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, William Robert Neubert, Sr. and Mabel Catherine (Radel) Neubert; his birth parents, Marion and Margaret Moore; his brothers, Robert Moore and James Moore; his wife, Frances Mae (Alexander) Neubert and his step-son, Rusty Hartzell.
