Mr. Timmy Ray Fugitt

Mr. Timmy Ray Fugitt, age 69, of Patriot, Indiana, entered this life on October 19, 1956 in Batesville, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Jerome Kermith and Jean Mary (Steinmetz) Fugitt. He was raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana where he attended high school. Timmy was united in marriage on November 10, 2002 to Lena Lorraine Turner at the Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana. They shared 23 loving years together until his passing. Timmy was formerly employed by the City of Lawrenceburg, where he worked in maintenance for several years. He later worked for Houston & Sons in Harrison, Ohio, as a sandblaster for several years. Timmy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed woodworking, and building race car and go-cart replicas mounted in a custom built frame for over 40 years. He loved going to races at Eldora Speedway in Ohio, and spending time in the woods collecting antlers. He also looked forward to dining at his favorite restaurants, Golden Corral and Skyline. Timmy was a member of the Patriot Baptist Church and was baptized in the Ohio River in 2024, alongside his wife, Lorraine. Timmy passed away unexpectedly at 1:42 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026 at his residence in Patriot, Indiana.

Timmy will be missed by his wife, Lena Lorraine (Turner) Fugitt of Patriot, IN; his sisters, Sharon Gilb of Lawrenceburg, IN and Jerri Lynn Rollins and her husband, Randy of Moores Hill, IN; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Blase Fugitt of Lawrenceburg, IN, Wayne and Kathy Turner of Patriot, IN, Jerry and Belinda Turner of Patriot, IN, Steve Turner of Florence, IN, Terry and Karen Turner of Rising Sun, IN, Sue and Mike Jones of Vevay, IN, Juanita and Joe Jackson of Rising Sun, IN, and Cindy Turner of Vevay, IN; his several nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Maggie Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Kermith and Jean Mary (Steinmetz) Fugitt; his sisters, Karen Carlton, Barbara “Doc” Conner and Janice Workman; his brother, Michael “Mike” Fugitt; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curtis A. and Mary Margaret (Miller) Turner; his brother-in-law, Fred Abraham “Freddie” Turner; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Turner.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2026, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
