Mr. Scotty C. Foster

Mr. Scotty C. Foster, age 45, of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on September 1, 1977 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At the young age of 14, Scotty received his first kidney transplant from his mother, Debbie. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1997 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Scotty was united in marriage on May 10, 2002 to Rebecca Sue “Becky” Hilligoss in Switzerland County, Indiana. On March 11, 2010, Scotty and Becky were blessed with a daughter, Alivia May. The couple renewed their vowels on September 21, 2013 at their home in Madison, Indiana. Alivia was Scotty’s pride and joy. He loved fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, grilling out and bonfires, as well as, spending quality time with his family and friends. Scotty passed away at 6:39 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Scotty will be deeply missed by his wife, Rebecca Sue “Becky” (Hilligoss) Foster of East Enterprise, IN; his loving daughter, Alivia May Foster of East Enterprise, IN; his sisters, Amy Foster Thomas of Vevay, IN and Kayla Seal of Lawrenceburg, IN; his brother, James Seal of Lawrenceburg, IN; his honorary brother, Tony Fisse and his wife, Savannah and family of Patriot, IN; his mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, James and Pamela Hilligoss of Florence, IN, Melinda Cloat of Vevay, IN and Michael and Linda Thomas of East Enterprise, IN; Becky’s grandma, Peggy Hilligoss of Vevay, IN; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Holly Thomas and her companion, Adam Day of East Enterprise, IN, Rachel and Jeff Hudson of Sanders, KY, Jeremiah and Renee Thomas of Ft. Riley, KS, Eddie and Amelia Hilligoss of Paris Crossing, IN, Adrianna Jennings of Scottsburg, IN, Scott Reitz of Florence, IN and Tiffany Emery of East Enterprise, IN; his several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Sue (Romans) Foster; his adopted father, Walter “Lee” Foster; his biological father, James Seal; his grandparents, Dale Romans, Theda Seal and Norma Brown; Becky’s grandparents, James “Butch” Hilligoss, Frances Pike and Juanita Widener; his sister-in-law, Carrie Magyar and Becky’s uncle, Tim Cloat.

Private services will be held by the family at the New Liberty Baptist Church at a later date.
