Mr. Randy Alan Jester, age 59, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 25, 1965 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Charles Frederick and Virginia Lee (Denny) Jester. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a 1985 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Randy was united in marriage on October 25, 1986 in Greensburg, Indiana to Mary Ann Lee. Randy and Mary shared nearly 38 years of marriage together until his passing. Randy was employed printing newspapers for the Greensburg Daily Newspaper and Columbus Republic for 30 years. He was a former coal yard employee for Kentucky Utilities for five years and was a driver for the Amish for five years. He enjoyed racing and go-karts and was a NASCAR, IU, Pacers and Bengals fan. Randy passed away at 4:31 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at his residence.
Randy will be missed by his wife, Mary Ann (Lee) Jester of Vevay, IN; his daughter, Nikki Parsons and her husband, Travis of Vevay, IN; his son, Aaron Lanane and his wife, Katie of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Olivia Lambert, Kori Parsons, Addyson Lanane, Aidan Parsons, Ellen Ianni (Zach), Claudia Hurst (Luke) and Clairah Hurst (Seth); his great-grandchildren, Addylynn Chappelow, Mason Chappelow, Calvin Jackson and Elias Ianni; his brothers, Charles Wayne Jester of Madison, IN and Johnny “Turtle” Jester and his wife, Kelli of Madison, IN; his sister-in-law, Lisa Sexton of Westport, IN and his several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frederick Jester, died February 7, 2010; his mother, Virginia Lee (Denny) Jester, died March 27, 2019; his sister, Tammy Jo Jester, died May 12, 2013; his brother, Dennie Gayle Jester, died June 19, 2022 and his nephew, Dana Gayle “Doodle” Jester, died June 9, 2015.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
