Mr. Marvin Wilson, Jr., age 86, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 30, 1937. Junior was born and raised in Vevay, Indiana and was the son of the late Marvin Lee and Mary Marie (Stevens) Wilson. Marvin was united in marriage to Mona Lee Jackson on November 23, 1957 in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union of nearly 66 years of marriage was blessed with a daughter Lorri Lee Scudder. Marvin was employed for Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, from 1957-1988. He was later employed as a truck driver for Baylor Trucking in Milan, Indiana from 1988-2001. Marvin was awarded many awards for his perfect driving record and was nominated for Driver of the Month many times and Driver of the Year. Marvin was a member of the Ruter Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Switzerland Baptist Church. Marvin enjoyed golfing, socializing, working crossword puzzles and watching TV. Marvin passed away at 4:16 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
Marvin will be missed by his loving wife, Mona Lee (Jackson) Wilson of Vevay, IN; his grandson, Dalton Lee Wilson Scudder and his companion, Brittany Carpenter of Vevay, IN and his nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lee Wilson; his mother, Mary Marie (Stevens) Wilson; his daughter, Lorri Lee Scudder, died April 20, 2007; his granddaughter, Danielle Elizabeth Wilson Scudder, died September 24, 1992; his brother, William H. Wilson and his nephew, Brian Sublett.
Marvin’s wishes were to be cremated with no services.
