Mr. Jeffrey David “Jeff” “Shotgun Willie” Padgett

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Jeffrey David Padgett, affectionately known as “Shotgun Willie”, age 60, on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1964 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Sandy Pearl Price. Jeffrey’s greatest passion was the trucking industry where he dedicated almost 40 years of his life driving a semi. If Jeffrey wasn’t driving you could find him enjoying his other greatest passion, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking and playing on the computer, strumming on his guitar and playing video games. Jeff was also an ordained minister.

Jeffrey is survived by his grandchildren that he adored, William Wilford, Aaron Bauer, Tristan Pridemore, Eric Padgett, Nadalei Mosley, Haylen Bauer, Anthony Padgett, Jamesyn Casey, Jeffrey Padgett and Cameron Bauer and one great-grandchild on the way; his daughter, Jaimie Padgett of Indianapolis, IN; his son, Randy Padgett of Indianapolis, IN; his daughter-in-law, Morgan Meadows of Indianapolis, IN; his step-children, William Bauer, Aaron Bauer, and Frances Marsh all of Indianapolis, IN; his brothers and sisters, Teresa Hardin Padgett, William Padgett, and Anna (Padgett) Sutter; his step-brothers, William Marsh and Jon Marsh and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death to the Lord by his mother, Sandy Pearl (Price) Marsh Lamson and his brothers, Eric Padgett and Michael Padgett.

Jeffrey was the most caring and giving soul you would ever meet. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
