Mr. James Lee “Jimmy” Browning, age 62, of Bennington, Indiana, entered this life on February 23, 1958 in Switzerland County, Indiana. He was the son of James Arthur and the late Mary Kathryn (Klontz) Browning. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1976 graduate of Switzerland County High School. Jimmy was united in marriage to Jennifer “Jeni” Farrar on June 23, 1976 in Vevay, Indiana. Jimmy was self-employed as a brick and stone layer in Switzerland County from 1976-2020. He had resided in the Switzerland County community most all of his life. Jimmy loved being a dad, going fishing and dearly loved Switzerland County. Jimmy passed away at 12:30 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at his daughter’s residence in Pleasant, Indiana.
Jimmy will be missed by his son, Zachary Ryan Browning and his wife, Carla of Bennington, IN; his daughters, Jessica Lee Griffith and her husband, Brandon of Vevay, IN and Amy Browning-Varble of Pleasant, IN; his grandchildren, Dolan, Aiden, Carson, Adelynn, Wyatt, Declan, Olivia and Rowan; his father, James Arthur Browning of Bennington, IN; his brothers, Richard A. Browning of Fairview, IN, William D. Browning of Bennington, IN and Donald W. Browning of Vevay, IN; his several nieces and nephews and his several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kathryn (Klontz) Browning, died June 16, 1997 and his infant sister, Teresa Lynn Browning, died December 5, 1961.
