Mr. Earl “Larry” Perlich

Mr. Earl “Larry” Perlich, age 87, of Switzerland County, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his residence. Born on February 8, 1938, in Kendallville, Indiana, Larry was the son of Earl and Hazel (McCoy) Perlich. He was raised in Albion, Indiana, where he graduated from Albion High School in 1956. On June 14, 1958, Larry married the love of his life, Kathleen Ruth Goleeke, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and hard work. A dedicated farmer, Larry raised hay and beef cattle in Switzerland County and was formerly a dairy farmer in Albion. He was also deeply involved in his community, serving as the event coordinator and janitor for the Jack Sullivan Senior Center in Vevay from 1997 to 2017. He was a former member of the Switzerland County Lions Club and a devoted parishioner of the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison. Larry had a deep appreciation for the land and enjoyed gardening and farming. His hard work, kindness, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ruth “Kathy” (Goleeke) Perlich of Switzerland County, Indiana; his daughters, Laura Gaerte and her husband, Dave of Yuma, Arizona and Pam Frecker and her husband, Terry of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his son, Lance Perlich and his wife, Daisy; his 10-grandchildren and his 18-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Perlich; his mother, Hazel (McCoy) Perlich, and his brothers, Donald and Wayne Perlich.

Larry’s cremains will be interred in the Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805.
