Mr. Donald I. “Donnie” Pavy

Mr. Donald I. “Donnie” Pavy, age 82, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on December 21, 1937 in Fairview, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Wilbur F. and Edith (Orem) Pavy. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and was a 1955 graduate of Vevay High School. Donnie was united in marriage on August 31, 1957 at the Fairview United Methodist Church to Linda K. Bladen. This happy union was blessed with four children. Donnie and Linda shared over 63 loving years of marriage together until his death. Donnie was a former truck driver for Bruce Miller and a dump truck driver for Paul Gilb in Aurora, Indiana. Donnie was also a milk truck driver for Don Young in Rising Sun, Indiana. He was a lifelong resident of Switzerland County, Indiana and enjoyed farming all of his life. He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Fairview, Indiana. Donnie also enjoyed playing with Zippy, tractor pulls and softball. Donnie also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending their activities and sporting events. Donnie passed away at 1:30 a.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Donnie will be missed by his loving wife, Linda K. (Bladen) Pavy of East Enterprise, IN; his daughters, Dawn “Gina” Beem of East Enterprise, IN, Paula LaVoy and her husband, Mike of Lutz, FL, Jackie Pavy and her companion, Brian Green of East Enterprise, IN and Lorrie Otter and her husband, Ronnie of Vevay, IN; his grandchildren, Klancee Houze, Kyllee Beem, Kristopher Pavy, Kimberly Barry, Kayla Hensley, Kolton Hensley, Shasta Hunter, Shane May, Collin Otter, Kyle Otter, Kendall Otter and Calen Otter; his 21-great-grandchildren; his sister, Joy Briggs of Vevay, IN; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Pavy of Lawrenceburg, TN, Roberta Pavy of Lawrenceburg, IN, Nina and David Dilts of Rising Sun, IN and Gary Bladen of Vevay, IN and his several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur F. and Edith (Orem) Pavy; his brothers, Halstead Pavy, Ray Pavy, Marvin Pavy, Rev. Doyle “Jack” Pavy, Paul Pavy, Wilford “Willie” Pavy and Kenneth “Bucky” Pavy and his sisters, Helen Cleeter and LeOra Rebecca Pavy.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required along with social distancing. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043. This will be a pass through visitation due to the restriction limit of 50 people inside the funeral home at a time.

Due to the COVID-19 restriction limit of 50 people inside the funeral home, a private funeral service will be conducted after the visitation for the immediate family.

Due to the current situation with COVID-19 restrictions, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates your support and love. The health and well being of everyone in our community is of our top priority. We are asking everyone who will be in attendance to please remember the social distancing guidelines at all times and the wearing of masks or face coverings will be required. We are limited to 50 people at a time inside our facility. Thank you for your understanding.
