(Ripley County, IN) – A motorcyclist from Greensburg lost his life in a two-vehicle crash around 5:30 Monday evening on the 8,000 block of State Road 350 in eastern Ripley County.
Indiana State Police say a motorcycle operated by 55-year-old Augustus Reichman hit the back of a car driven by 64-year-old Debora Peters of Milan in the eastbound lane of 350 near the Ripley/Dearborn County line.
Peters’ car slowed for another vehicle that was making a turn.
Reichman was transported to Margaret Mary Health in Batesville, where he was pronounced dead.
Peters was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
ISP says toxicology results are pending, although alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors.
Troopers received assistance from the ISP Crash Reconstruction Team, Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, and other area first responders.
