MMH sees jump in COVID-19 positivity rates in Ripley, Franklin counties

BATESVILLE, IN — Margaret Mary Health (MMH) is reporting that the statuses for Ripley and Franklin counties both remain unchanged this week on the state’s COVID-19 positivity map, but there was an increase in the COVID seven-day positivity rates from the previous week for both counties. Ripley County is now at a 13.8% seven-day positivity rate and is still in “orange” status, while Franklin County is at 17.29% and stays in “red.”

The hospital currently has 26 patients on the Medical/Surgery floor, with two of those patients in the Special Care Unit. Fourteen of MMH’s patients are COVID-positive, with 11 of those unvaccinated and three vaccinated. (Please see chart on patients in bed)

Testing for COVID-19 decreased from the previous week, but the positivity rate at MMH has increased, with 44 patients testing positive and a current positivity rate of 26.2%. (Please see chart for more details on testing results.)
