Missing Seymour man found dead in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, IN — An elderly Seymour man who was reported missing was found dead Wednesday afternoon in Washington County.

Indiana Conservation Officers said fishermen saw the body of 89-year-old Harold L. Wilson along a small tributary adjoining the Muscatatuck River.

Wilson’s car was found a short distance away.

Indiana State Police divers recovered Wilson’s body shortly before 6 pm.

Wilson was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office last Saturday.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Foul play is not suspected.
