Milan varsity softball ran away with the win on Friday night, defeating Jac-Cen-Del 15-4.
The Indians got on the board in the first inning when one run scored on Karsyn Bode’s single.
Milan ended up with 12 hits in the win. Mallory Eaglin, Abby Moore, and Nevaeh Carpenter each collected multiple hits for the team. Eaglin led the team hits, going 3-for-4 at the plate.
Kynadee Bode was credited with the victory for Milan, striking out nine while allowing four runs on four hits in seven innings of work.
Savannah James took the loss on the hill for the Eagles, surrendering 15 runs on 12 hits over seven innings while striking out one.
