Milan native named 500 Princess

Indianapolis, IN — The 500 Festival, a nonprofit organization providing life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500, announced on Wednesday that Alyssa Brinkman, a Milan native and graduate of Milan High School, has been selected to serve as a 2021 500 Festival Princess. Alyssa is a sophomore at Ball State University majoring in business analytics and logistics and supply chain management.

Alyssa along with the other 500 Princesses will virtually participate in the 500 Festival Leadership Development Program, presented by BKD, empowering participants to make a profound impact within their community and Indiana. In addition, each 500 Festival Princess will receive a $1,000 scholarship, made possible by Marlyne Sexton, an Indianapolis philanthropist and president of The Sexton Companies, and the 500 Festival Foundation.
