Dennis “Mike” Bradley, 74 of Versailles was born November 14, 1951 in Holton, IN at his family home, the son of Wesley and Mazie Bradley. Mike attended school in Holton. Mike married Pamula Garvey on November 19, 1972 and this union was blessed with two sons and one daughter. Mike passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 6:05pm at his residence with his three children by his side.
Mike served his country with the United States Army during Vietnam. In his early working years, Mike was an independent semi operator for Western Express. In 1985, Mike opened Mike’s Truck and Tractor Repair at his residence. Mike continued his business for 35 years, and took pride in the business he had built, the many customers he served and the friendships that he made through his work. Along with running his garage, Mike also spent many evenings and weekends running his bulldozer, clearing land and building many ponds around the Versailles area. Mike built his last pond at his home in 1999 for his grandkids to have a place to swim and fish.
Mike is survived by his two sons, Mike (Erin) Bradley of Versailles, Brian (Brittany) Bradley of Versailles and his daughter Mindy (Chris) Alcorn of Canaan. His 13 grandchildren, Bret, Austin, Ashton, Logan, Luke, Landon, Lexi, Hannah, Michael, McKenna, Mavery, Manning and Hunter, and his 5 great grandsons, Baylor, Brigham, Hudson, Noah and Lincoln. His brothers Elmer (Sherry) of Dillsboro, Omar (Patsy) of Holton, Earnie (Suzie) of Versailles. His sisters.Deanna Nelson of Butlerville, Frances Powell of Versailles, Debbie (Bruce) Clowers of Canaan and his sister n law Carol Bradley of Batesville.
He was proceeded in death by by his parents, his brothers, Delmar (Virginia); Wesley Jr; Arnold and Douglas. ; His sisters Sydney (Leory) Klusman; Nellie Annis and Linda Bradley. His Brother n laws Norman Nelson; Roy Powell and John Garvey.
Mike was also proceeded by his shop assistant and four legged side kick of 13 years, his black lab Bob.
Visitation will be held Thursday April 30th from 5-7pm at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 1st at 10am at the Funeral home with Scott Elston officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Memory of Mike to the Southeastern Career Center Diesel Technology Program.
