Michael “Mike” Kincer, 66, of Aurora passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. Mike was born to Ray and Ruby (Honeycutt) Kincer in Letcher County, Kentucky on Monday, September 27, 1954. He was married to the love of his life Thresa (Burress) Kincer for 22 years. Mike worked 30 years for Rumpke in Batesville as a supervisor. Mike enjoyed being outdoors and could often be found fishing or working in the garden. He loved working puzzle books and reading in his spare time. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also collected pens.
Mike will be missed by his wife Thresa of Aurora; sons Dustin Keith of Indiana and Jeremy Burress (Britttany significant other) of Aurora; daughters Mindy Keith of Shelbyville and Meneca Burress of Sunman; mother Ruby Kincer of Milan; brothers Gary Kincer (Judy) of Milan and Dave Kincer (Mary) of Moores Hill; sisters Dana Dwenger (Jim) of Sunman, Judy Stein (Bill) of Oldenburg, Janelle Seibert of Batesville, Connie Engle (Jerry) of Milan, Missy Russell (Kenny) of Lawrenceburg, Annette Shupe (Richard) of Sunman, and Marietta Hunter of Milan; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his father Ray and sister Kimberly.
Family and friends are invited to share and remember Mike on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 11 AM – 12 PM at Hope Baptist Church, 15593 Hwy. US 50, Dillsboro, IN 47018. A service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Little Memory Cemetery, Sunman. Memorials may be given in honor of Mike to the Kincer Family.
