(Greensburg, IN) – Greensburg Meals on Wheels saluted its volunteers during the annual luncheon Wednesday at the Branch Gathering Place + Coffeehouse.
Executive Director Diana Robbins says one thing she’s proud of is the expansion of the program into the Batesville area, and the recent purchase of a refrigerator and freezer which she says will help expand services.
The Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce presented with a $1,000 check – which was part of the proceeds from the Chamber’s annual Ag Day Breakfast put on in conjunction with Decatur County Farm Bureau.
“It doesn’t matter what’s going on in the community, or what your non-profits are in need of, there’s always someone who steps up,” said Executive Director Diana Robbins. “It will help so many people who aren’t able to afford the meals or can only pay a portion for their meals, and we’ll be able to help them out.”
Robbins says they’re always in need of volunteers and meal delivery drivers.
