Mayor Proclaims YMCA Week in Batesville

(Batesville, IN) – Mayor John Irrgang read a proclamation on Saturday, declaring May 11-17 “YMCA 175th Anniversary Week” in the City of Batesville.

It took place during the Southeastern Indiana YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day event.

“We’re recognizing the Y and our importance in the community for healthy living, social responsibility, and then our youth development piece,” said CEO Tara Britton. “So we’re excited to welcome not only the Y but we also have a bunch of partners here from different community partners and we’re just having a good time today (pictured).”

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA opened its doors to the community in April 1993.
