Behind the complete game effort of starting pitcher Mason McNew, the visiting South Ripley varsity baseball picked up a 5-3 ORVC conference win over the Switzerland County Pacers.
McNew went all seven innings, including working out of a jam in the 7th when the Pacers tried to rally. The freshman pitched like a veteran, scattering 5 hits, walking 3, allowing 3 runs, and striking out 7 to earn his 2nd victory of the year.
On offense for the Raiders, junior Landon Adams enjoyed a big day, going 2 for 2 with three stolen bases, a run scored, and an RBI. Also picking up key RBI were Brayden Dilk, Trent Smith, McNew, and Ryan Gorrell.
