Mary A. Bruns of Brookville, was born on July 3, 1949 at home in Franklin County, the daughter of Russell and Elizabeth Wingler Quinlan. She married Wilfred R. Bruns in Jellico, Tennessee on July 27, 1974 and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2006. Mary retired from Visteon and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved riding motorcycles and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. On Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the age of 67, she passed away at her residence.
Those surviving who will cherish Mary’s memory include her sons, Lance (Becky) Bruns of Brookville, Nick Bruns of Reedsville, GA, and Jason Bruns of Centerville; grandchildren, Alison Bruns, Austin Bruns, Casey Bruns, Chelsea Bruns, Aaron Witte and Tainsley Bruns; sister, Nancy Baize of Brookville, and brothers, John (Barb) Quinlan of Blooming Grove and Roger (Charlene) Quinlan of Brookville. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Richard Quinlan and sisters, Janie Howard and Frieda Masters.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
