Martha Louise (Inman) Cooper, 88, of Milan passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Ripley Crossing. Martha was born on Thursday, May 12, 1938, in Cincinnati; daughter of Fred and Florence (Wolfe) Inman. Martha married Ray Cooper on June 25, 1955, and he preceded her on April 4, 2007. She loved sewing, doing embroidery, crocheting, and cooking. Most of all Martha loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Martha will be missed by her daughters Deborah (James) Collier of New Point, Patricia (Steve) McKim of Moores Hill, Sharon (Joe) Deaton of Milan, Raydean (Jeff) Ingram of Milan, and Joyce (Joe) Wismann; sister-in-law Shirley Inman of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Florence Inman; husband Ray Cooper; brothers Richard, Fred, Bob, Dick, Johnny, and Eugene Inman; and sisters Charlotte Wesley, Marie Wolfe, Freda Batter, and Betty Cooper.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Martha from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Negangard Corner Freewill Baptist Church: 7993 IN-101, Milan, IN 47031, with Daniel Bragg officiating. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Martha to Negangard Corner Freewill Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Hope Chest in Milan.
