Marsh: “Make My Move” slots almost filled

Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh

GREENSBURG, IN — Mayor Joshua Marsh gave an update to the Greensburg Rotary Club this week on the Make My Move initiative during a Q and A session following his State of the City Address.

The aim of the initiative – which has garnered national attention – is to attract high-wage remote workers who live out of state to Greensburg and Decatur County.

“We had over 1,800 applications for five spots,” Marsh said. “We went through the process with the county and partnered on that, and we have two individuals who purchased homes – one in the county and one in the city.”

Marsh said the remaining slots are filling up.

“We have another who is one the way at the end of March from Louisville with her family,” he added. “And we’ve got one who is based in Florida now, and said, ‘I’m not coming back until the snow is gone!’ So we expect her to be here in March.

Marsh said the fifth and final spot remains up for consideration.
