Marilyn V. Moore, 69 of Westport, passed away at 9:23 p.m. on December 2, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born September 22, 1954, in Greensburg, the daughter of Delamar and Marjorie (Castor) Washburn. She was a lifelong resident of Decatur County. She retired from Dolly Madison Bakery in 2018 after 17 years of service. She was a member of the former Letts United Methodist Church. Marilyn enjoyed being with her grandchildren, Crocheting and she loved her dogs. Marilyn married Donald Moore April 16, 1992, in Greensburg and he proceeds her in death. Survivors include her daughters Amy (Lonnie) Lacey of Greensburg and Chasityt Campfield of Westport; Her son Grover (Karen) Powers of Osgood; her sister Karen Washburn of Greensburg; and her brother John (Marilyn) Washburn of Westport; her grandchildren Tala & Lyla Clark of Greensburg, Amy Jo & Mason Powers of Osgood, Destannie & Kurtis Campfield of Greensburg, and a great grandson Dexter Crain. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Moore and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Stephens officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00p.m. till the time of service at 4:00p.m.at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus United Way through the funeral home.
